Very shady!!! And they're attempting to do it again. As I type. Also, the desire to take back Crimea is coming from Ukrainians also. Not just the West or NATO.
You have no idea what you are saying. Crimea has always been mostly Russian, and vehemently opposed having anything to do with Ukraine, even back in 1956 when transferred from Russia to Ukraine. It should have been tranagerred back in 1991 when Ukraine declared independence. Let's admit, it's all about NATO having a military base there, and has nothing to do with Ukraine
Even Yeltsin post-independence declared Crimea should go back, but walked back his statement the next day. Kiev never paid any attention to Crimea, until US neocons should up with their never-ending plans for world domination. And, I am way more interested in what actual citizens of Crimea think, not some DC think tank thousands of miles away. They should stop behaving like world tyrants, and leave people alone. Russia has had a military base in Crimea for hundreds of years, NATO/neocons want to steal it. Even Ukrainians in Crimea do NOT want to go back.
Considering 70% of Ukrainians voted for Zelensky because he promised to improve relationships with Russia and end the war in Donbass, does not look like that. And considering the US had to violently overthrow the legitimate government in 2014 (why not just wait for elections? And why force russian speakers flee the country? So they would not be able to vote?). You do not emgage in orange revolutions, if people democratically vote for you. Most Ukrainians hated Western Bandera Nazi installed by US in 2014 who unleashed the erhnic cleansing in Donbass
And as to actively involved... that's true, it was instrumental in announcing Ukraine independent in 1991 AGAINST the will of its people as in the early 1991 referendum overwhelming majority of Ukrainians voted to stay. And even the promised independence assumed people could still keep USSR passport. People's will was never taken account, and technically Ukraine's separation was illegal.
Let's think your statement through. You claim Ukrainians want US presence, and why not? Worthless, scummy US politicians are quite happy throwing money at otherwise, apparently, incompetent Ukrainian's feet. Ukraine has been, and continues to be a pool of corrupt scum. The people in power are greedy, yet not too intelligent, people. What a drag, letting your countrymen be slaughtered just for a few, soon to be worthless US dollars.
If what you are saying is true, why do Ukrainians need the west to do everything for them? If it's 60/40, let them resolve THEIR issues. As long as the west, aka NATO, keep sticking their slimy fingers into the mix, we will never know the true lay of the land.

Incorrect. Crimea has been 60/40 Russian supported...but did not oppose Ukraines independence.
It has everything to do with Ukraine...Ukraines Resources(cough) and the port which Putin uses to attempt to control the Black Sea.
Also,Putin certainly did move more Ethnic Russians into Ukraine, including 1000s of unknowns before he invaded. And he is using the same playbook now.

The United States has been in Ukraine and actively involved since the supposed fall of the Soviet Union.

Ok. Listen. I think we don't see eye to eye. I view history differently than you do apparently. ✌️ Have a good evening.
CIA supported Bandera fans in western Ukraine since WWI
