Property rights are the foundation of Western prosperity. People who loathe them represent the savagery of a dark past. They should not be granted influence in civilized nations.

A.'s avatar

"Shoulds" do not matter any more. It is all about power. Whoever has it calls the shots.

Manuel Lopez's avatar

As my deceased father who had all his property confiscated in Cuba, the only good communist is a dead one.

Eric Coppala's avatar

A physician I used to work with had a similar story from his grandfather. Bastards came for their farm but before they arrived, his grandad cut down all the fruit trees. All these useless progressives praising socialism never lived under it.

John R. Grout's avatar

I talked to a Cuban exile about El Paredon… the firing wall. The Castros used firing walls to execute and to torture prisoners. When Raul is lined up against El Paredon, there should be no false executions… they should all shoot him the first time.

John R. Grout's avatar

Or the savagery of a new future.

Manuel Lopez's avatar

Or saving thousands to millions of lives depending on the communist regime.

A.'s avatar

Well, Kamala Harris herself is a Communist. So was her father, Prof. Donald Harris of Stanford.

No surprise, I hope. The new Communists of the West have been coming out of the woodwork since the 60s.

The only rational explanation for the near complete absence of disguise of such obviously destructive and insane policies is that they do not care that they are found out - they must believe they have the result pre-determined in advance.

Richard Bicker's avatar

Eggs, omelettes. Old story.

Bandit's avatar

The results are predetermined.

These people are dangerously insane.

A.'s avatar

These people are Communist-totalitarians.

Do not allow the fact that they don't look like early 20th century Russian peasants fool you.

Mark's avatar

If they win, WE will all look like Russian peasants……

A.'s avatar

True enough, Mark. Difficult to get that across to the un-awakened, however. I don't fancy going down with the ship because they prefer to be mind-blind.

Mark's avatar

That’s the thing that sucks so much about the situation. Our future is in large part dependent on people who have no idea what’s coming, and

If they choose wrong, they take us down with them…..

A.'s avatar

Yes, I'm afraid that is about it.

Which is one of the reasons I keep trying to awaken them.

Bandit's avatar

Good luck with that!

Richard Bicker's avatar

Hmm...the Inner Party, the Outer Party, and the Proles. That's ringing a bell, actually a klaxon, somewhere...

Eric Coppala's avatar

Reading Solzhenitsyn’s “Gulag Archipelago” and how far is the US from some of the practices of motherland USSR?

Susan.L.Knox's avatar

We will BE Russian presents, with no future.

Crashing the economy is the goal

A.'s avatar

Crashing the entire Western world is the goal.

A.'s avatar

Ranamurti's wealth tax is simply the latest lockstep policy of globalist head office. Canada started this months ago, with capital gains tax on the upper middle class. Coming soon to the UK too.

When you see one of the Western countries run by leftwing WOKE starting some kind of destructive fad, you can be sure they will all jump on the bandwagon. That is the way this destruction campaign has been operating. Like teenage fashion crazes.

Kevin Beck's avatar

One thing we all need to keep in mind is these nation-wreckers don't give a flying 0bama if they crush the US economy. They would love to see that happen! And they'll hope to come out on top of the pile, because the whole nation will be left unable to fight against them.

John R. Grout's avatar

The Second Amendment was adopted to address such concerns. Even an oblivious Administration would notice that its thugs stopped coming back from their worst assignments.

Francis W. Porretto's avatar

-- On X, Ramamurti became a fierce advocate for his staple initiative under Sen. Warren, declaring that the revenues generated by the wealth tax would result in all kinds of free stuff, like the canceling of student debt, in addition to free college and “universal child care.” --

We tend to focus so sharply on the actual theft of people's money and assets that we seldom address another, equally important question: Would giving "all kinds of free stuff" to people who haven't earned it and have no right to it be a GOOD thing? Or would it promote all manner of immoral, illegal, and generally deleterious attitudes and behaviors, both immediately and through second and higher-order effects?

Try shopping that around.

Kris Newcomer's avatar

Lefties aren’t generally interested in looking to unintended or second-order consequences.

Francis W. Porretto's avatar

I think they're taught to ignore them. I can't help but wonder how.

Kris Newcomer's avatar

For real. Some of them seem to be taught to be “in the now,” like some New Age-y belief about manifestation or whatever, and some of them I think understand that the whole point is destruction, so there is no purpose to think beyond that aim. The communist mentality is always about the “struggle,” never about the end goal, so they continual just stay with policies that will produce the struggle and that’s all they have to worry about.

Pretty f-ed up, because the rest of the adults in the room have to figure out the second-order consequences and how to fix the mess they place us in. 😑

Francis W. Porretto's avatar

Good insights. What comes to mind in this connection is the contemporary tendency among leftists to view themselves as morally superior and their adversaries as evil. By this I mean people attached to the Left, but not part of the inner circle of strategists. The strategists know better, and a good case can be made that their aims ARE evil.

Bandit's avatar

Of course, it would. Welfare has already done some of that.

AOly's avatar

OMGosh…first article from you I could not finish…it was like entering the vortex of lunacy…

Inverted Pyramid's avatar

“unrealized gain” IS lunacy. Then when people stop trusting the banks and start avoiding them, Kamala and Co. will tax...

“Unrealized Deposits “

Good grief. This will undoubtedly ruin our economy and the lives of many Americans, because without investment there will be no prosperity for Americans seeking to realize the American Dream.

A.'s avatar

That's the plan.
