We can only hope that those like Hassan Farhan al-Maliki will get power some day. He was kicked off Saudi TV for pointing out how their sect contradicts the Koran which they are supposed to accept as the word of god and infallible. He also goes on to show that 90% of the "sayings of the prophet" are bogus (both Sunni & Shia). Interesting fellow and I hope they don't kill him as he brings an interesting perspective to the discussion.
He asks very simple but important questions like "Why should Muslims try to convert others when they can't even agree among themselves what Islam is?". I would extrapolate that to other religions like Christianity as well.
