Can you give us one example?

Or maybe you are of the belief that politics is not a field of ever-shifting alliances and utter snakes?

Suggest you examine the 2018 midterm elections during President Trump's first term (as 2026 will also be a midterm election cycle). That would be the midterm election that cost Trump the Republican House and gave Democrats the platform they so desperately needed (and brilliantly used) to bring congressional actions against the president, eventually damaging him sufficiently to defeat his 2020 bid for re-election.

There's a very good chance that the heavy lifting needed to get the recklessness of the Biden administration brought under control will provide Democrats fertile ground to sow widespread voter anger and angst against President Trump, thereby undercutting his ability to maintain or improve upon today's VERY thin congressional majorities. Based on Trump's history, the major impact of his two terms could very well come down to what is accomplished between January 21, 2025 and the seating of the new (Democratic?) Congress in January of 2027. Trump and his team had best get busy...

I'm sure they can tap into alternate sources of funds. Helluva lot of foundations, councils, institutes, and centers chock full of lefties/liberals sitting on piles of cash. It's not funding that will foul them upтАФDem donors have VERY deep pockets. Harris put together (and burned through) a war chest of close to $2 billion in just over 100 days.

To whip Dems, the GOP needs to puts some REAL wins on the board; nobody but political junkies give a shit about USAID money or whether the Department of Education lives or dies. What counts is jobs coming in (see Apple), illegal aliens going out (see NYC closing migrant hotels), and DEI, trans, and blue/pink/green hair being buried once and for all.
