I would say that the upside to Israel approaches zero. They have to fight wars that they may not win including not only Hamas, but possibly Hezbollah and Iran. So that could be an existential crisis for the country in terms of its survival. Ultimately they are fighting for survival. Yes I know that our government in the United States is engaged in a number of nefarious activities. And in general government tends to attract some bad people. And I know that Israel and the USA helped to foster Hamas as an entity decades ago. But I would say to you, that you have no evidence that Israel knew about this attack ahead of time. Zero. So I'd be careful speculating in that regard. And regardless of the back story, Hamas needs to go. It's one thing to say that a government may have known about an impending attack. It's another thing to commit atrocities. Hamas committed atrocities.
