I'm trying to get this to Bannon's team. They are advocating for the ban. Bad idea! For one, now the fools are going to a worse place. And secondly, the government should not be in the business of BANNING to keep us safe (for the most part). But this is a particularly egregious 1A violation. If we don't like what TT is teaching, then we need better teachers and better parents.

Why was it allowed in the first place? I’ll tell ya. Globalization. Y’all think China would allow America business to do this? Yet, China suppose to have rights here?
@Emily - you know I have your back, but not on this. People everywhere generally are stupid and/or ignorant and in the US it's particularly compounded by mass laziness and expectations of many that they deserve whatever they desire. That Americanism is seen by the CCCP (rightly so) as a strategic weakness. The apps they export here are nothing more than military tools to infiltrate and inculcate the society (as the examples show, comrade) and it's easy because of the reasons given. I'm not for government censorship but I am for the government defending the country against foreign adversaries and china is in the top spot.
Arguably musk and his fake "censorship free" platform, zuck and his fake censorship mia copa, everything google and what most large tech companies do gathering data against the citizenry, whether the citizenry is aware or not, is extremely bad. But allowing a country that is sending tens of thousands of invaders across our borders and is hiding social weaponry in an app, is 100x more extreme and needs to end. That with the port cranes, electrical transformers, jet components, and innumerable other critical infrastructure they've been green lighted to infiltrate and use as future weapons of control, all needs to be curtailed. And of course, they own DNA data on millions of Americans now too.
The days of hostile foreign countries being allowed to destroy our society through whitewashed exports has to be terminated or it will terminate us.
Having said that, I expect the government, trump or not, to do nothing. I don't care if millions of Americans destroy their lives dancing with the chinese, but they bring everyone down with them, so regulation of foreign weapons of any kind, in my view, is a good thing.
The US tech companies and their CEOs kissing trumps fat ass even at this very moment, are dangerous enough. Not thwarting china on every front is rapid suicide.

(BTW this is my brief response on this topic)
We don't agree on everything. We don't have to.
ha ha
The other app is worse.
