the f.b.i. serves the same function as the KGB and Stasi did. So it's a given that they are corrupt. If they do investigate themselves the answer is always we did nothing wrong. And we'll fix the problems.

I’ve watched Christopher Wray testify before Congress on several occasions.

He claims that he has already solved the problems at the FBI, but he never seems willing or able to discuss his “solutions”.

And when a new FBI abuse of power comes to light he refuses to answer questions because “it’s part of an ongoing investigation “.

I thought that the whole purpose of Congressional oversight committees is to oversee Executive Branch agencies and keep them compliant with the Constitution and Federal Law …..???

I’ve seen the same. Wray stonewalls and is sneeringly arrogant in a kind of weird way. He is really saying f..k you, you can’t do anything to me with that bureaucratic cover. The fact is the three letter agencies are powers and principalities all their own. Mayorkas is even worse, if that’s possible, because he flat out lies, “the border is secure.” What you see right out in the open isn’t happening. The anti- federalists were right about everything and all the warnings all those years ago about f.b.i. c.i.a. homeland security etc were dead on right.

Agreed. All of the agencies and we’d venture to state that even all of Congress even the republicans all weasels have been compromised. They are best known for playing games of pointing stuff out but oh well not gonna do anything about it. Waste of our monies. It’s really pathetic.

Corrupt to the core.

Barge loads of money are being stolen. Trump should stay indoors and off airplanes.

They are highly motivated.

Trump has tailwinds at his back??? …. Um, NO, he doesn't. The Dems have a VASTLY SUPERIOR Get Out The Vote machine in EVERY swing state, an apparatus for banking both illegal and legal votes, and Trump has no answer… Moreover, Trump's recent Truth Social post, saying (all caps) I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT is one of the most idiotic things any candidate has ever done… It's self-inflicted harm that LOSES votes among those he desperately needs — WOMEN… The future of the country is LITERALLY at stake, and - think about it, it BOGGLES the mind - the man is posting about his HATRED FOR TAYLOR SWIFT… That is preposterous. It's disgraceful. And it's why we're going to get President Kamala Harris and Vice President Tim Walz.

I don't know that that particular post is going to lose the election for him, but I agree ONE HUNDRED PERCENT that was an incredibly stupid move. There are a million better ways he could have handled her announcement:

1) Don't dignify it with a response

2) "I am sorry she's making such a bad decision"

3) "I respect her right to vote. Even if it's the wrong choice"

4) "I am surprised Taylor Swift feels comfortable voting for people who support sterilizing and surgically removing the genitals of minor girls without their parents' permission." [taking a cue from Megyn Kelly's interview w Tucker Carlson]

5) "Taylor if you vote for Harris, 'Don't Blame Me' when things go 'Down Bad' the next 4 years. Don't be a 'Foolish One'!"

6) etc, etc etc

For someone who is so smart, he can be so stupid. Trump is the only candidate I've ever seen who has perfected the art of snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.

Yeah. And then they have to Govern. Remember. What happens the day after you supposedly win. Yeah. You have to kinda sorta look like you know what you are doing

Democrats are refusing to put competent Viable Candidates at the top of their ticket. What a waste of a political monster. All this power. They have been stockipiling through the Obama years and on. And they are ruining their chances of absolute domination by picking retards as their presidential candidates.

No they did not learn their lesson with Biden. What on Earth could they be thinking they could do with a Kamala win except jump in and float down the river to irrelevance land.

Greg: you acknowledge that there are illegal votes out there and the Democratic Party is better at “banking “ those votes.

Yet, you call for Kamala to be President because Trump said he hates Taylor Swift.

You and Routh may be on the same medical plan... good luck with that.

Not a big fan, but greatly appreciate your balanced, knowledgeable take on this.

I expect corrupt from politicians, also from the DOJ, FBI & CIA leadership; am I being naive not to think the same re the S/S?

Is the effects of induced incompetence any different from those of corruption? What appears to be dishonesty bothers me the most.

From his X account posts we can surmise that he either 1) believed everything the mainstream media says, or 2) was disingenuously promoting mainstream media narratives for some other reason.

He reported to the FBI that he was funding his Ukraine recruiting efforts by "money from his wife," when he was questioned on his return from Ukraine.

I find the idea that a roofer with a LONG rap sheet suddenly quit his job and got support from his wife while organizing ratlines to smuggle US trained Afghanis through third countries with loose borders all on his own to be somewhat difficult to believe.

Crazy can be a cover for deliberate.

It’d be nice if DeSantis sues the Feds for any and all investigative information via a 10A suit. “General Police Powers” are reserved, not delegated. FL has the constitutional authorization to investigate; the Feds do not.

Just to keep everybody "honest", if ever there was a case to establish an ad hoc Task Force, this is it. It should involve a periodic report to an all-agency panel of the individual agency's accomplishments of the agencies involved. I have worked on the Organized Crime Strike Force in Cleveland, the DEATF in Cleveland, and the OCDETF in Houston before my retirement several years ago. Each agency can pursue their Agency specific act violations, but the investigators will talk amongst themselves, and no rocks will remain unturned.

#5 - Standard practice for the FBI. They find disaffected people with mental issues and then push them over the edge. The problem is that after the FBI is done crowing about the "collar", the case goes to court and is often dismissed because they've entrapped them and abused the mental state of the individual. I'm shocked that Routh got two minor charges, which leads me to believe he never fired a shot, contrary to news reports.

About point 5:

Is he irrational, is the question. Is his rationale and rationality disconnected from reality?

If for example his rationale is that Trump threatens to turn the USA into the Handmaid's Tale dictatorship that shows such as The View and prominent Democrats claim, and that Trump therefore must be removed by any means (there's been no dearth of such statements since 2015), and he actually believes this - he isn't insane or mentally ill.

He's simply using a different set of metrics than you or me.

Rationale and rationality is always subjective relative the individual (or group) in question. To an atheist, drinking wine and eating wafers in a special house at a special time wearing special clothing while chanting special spells looks like pure insanity - because the atheist isn't using the same rationale as the catholic. And vice versa - for a catholic who knows that those who deny the god of Abraham will go to Hell for eternity, not trying to live according to scripture and the example set by Jesus is not just insane but possibly also evil.

For Routh, his understanding of reality may well be that he is trying to kill the future Hitler (Trump) before "Hitler" starts WW3. True, actual mental illness is irrational, without logic and is almost always full of ad hoc-explanations for discrepancies whenever the insane person's internal what-passes-for-reason is challenged.
