We should become Afghans.
Not only should we not have invaded Afghanistan, it was always obvious that we shouldn't have invaded Afghanistan. But we did it anyway, 'cause reasons
Good podcast. My theory is the military industrial complex must be supplied with taxpayer money at any expense in lives or dollars. The revolving door between the Pentagon and the defense industry spins at light speed for connected generals and other high ranking officers who profit handsomely. It is a self licking ice cream cone.
I just don't understand why you're bringing this up years later, is there some point to this conversation? Also, if it becomes apparent that you are right, then what were the original motivations of the American Government for going to war in the first place, was it simply incompetence? I doubt it. You need to provide some context to your listener, why should I listen to this podcast, how is it relevant in the Biden post-covid era?
