I’ve followed Darryl Cooper & he delves into topics above & beyond any researcher/historian. The interview w/tucker “touched” on some of his findings. He said he would be researching & not releasing his WW2 research podcast for 8-12 months. Perhaps he will adjust some of what he said in an open dialogue interview but I can guarantee that his final product will be extensive & thorough beyond what we’ve been told. The jumping on him & silencing is a bad look.
I have mixed feelings about Darryl Cooper at best, but I do think it undermines your argument to then say, "I used to be friendly and cordial with Cooper." The interview was full of questionable claims, carefully framed in that "just asking questions" framing, but the point you've made here boils down to some version of [it's unconscionable to talk to this person like I did.] If you say you were cordial with Cooper, you've acknowledged that it's possible to misread him. If you say that it's possible to misread him, it seems to me that any claim you want to make about Tucker Carlson's intent becomes fatally muddied. "Tucker Carlson’s headfirst dive into the depths of demonic antisemitism" seems to journey well beyond the available evidence.
That depends how long you've been following Tucker Carlson's foray into [whatever we're allowed to call his brand of [whatever we're allowed to call it] without being accused of something]. Your point of view would be far easier to accept had Tucker Carlson been merely cordial. However, I found myself wondering if they were going to get a room. For an example of what it looks like to interview someone with whom you may or may not agree but are giving an opportunity to speak unfettered for reasons of principle, check out Lex Fridman.
I love Tucker. I am Team Tucker in a big way. But. You are absolutely right. There are times I roll my eyes at something he says. And then there are guests like vile Andrew Tate (who I would gladly not know exists except for Tucker), the Jew hating religious guy (I watched about 5 minutes and turned it off) and now there’s this. I didn’t and won’t watch it. I’ve read enough about the interview to know it would both waste my time and infuriate me. He’s definitely lost the plot. I can enjoy Tucker and still think critically, disagreeing vehemently with him. Which, by the way, does not give him a pass in presenting it in the first place. I won’t hate on Tucker for this lapse of judgment but he needs to know that he spends capital every time he presents these points of view. I will never be okay with Jew hating.
I stopped watching Tucker several years before he was let go by FOX, just as I've stopped watching Hannity, and had quit watching O'Reilly before he was let go. All three have similar personalities - arrogant, narcissistic, self-righteous, and don't like women who are intelligent so treat them badly.
It doesn't surprise me that Tucker has these opinions toward the Jewish people. He has many misinformed opinions of Biblical doctrine having been raised as a Catholic and thinking he knows everything about religion. Having such a serious "lapse of judgement" on issues like the importance of the Jewish people and God's Covenant with them as to how it relates to historical events.
Candace Owens I liked at first, then...She's a mess. I stopped following her when she went off on Netanyahu and the IDF after Oct. 7th (along with other things she'd been posting prior regarding several subjects).
People can say whatever they want. I'll overlook statements of apparent ignorance a couple times. But once it's obvious that they have values and opinions that are antithetical to what God teaches in the Bible, or the values of our Constitution and the morals of our country, I'm done with them. I have no patience for educating people who hate, are misleading others. or teaching them to lead others astray.
I did go back and listen to the podcast, especially paying attention to the parts about Cooper's views on Christianity, the Jews, and the war. His issue is that he doesn't understand Bible doctrine so nothing he says is valid and his comparisons make no sense. And that's why Carlson agrees, because he doesn't understand, he has no Biblical knowledge to disagree with Cooper's crap.
What they don't get, simply, is what is happening now in the Middle East, is an ongoing war that will not end until the end of time. This will be the reason for the Battle of Armageddon, the battle between good and evil, God and Satan. God's promise to His Chosen People, the Jews, was that they wouldn't be wiped off the face of the earth by any nation. They will be represented in Heaven, as will all nationalities and races, by Believers who understand that Jesus Christ, God's Son, came to live as an example that God's Word and promises could be applied to the adversities of human life to live it without sin. After He lived the appropriate time, sinless, He was crucified on the cross, during which God imputed all the human sins of all mankind for all time to Him, so that when He did die, God's demand for Justice for those sins (the pure sacrificial lamb of the Old Testament/Torah) was paid, for all mankind. So now, all any person must do is believe that Jesus Christ has given us that free gift, just as the Jews before His death looked forward to His sacrifice by the killing of the lamb. If we believe on His sacrifice, we have life everlasting with Him and God in Heaven. Simple. Those who don't believe end up in Hell with Satan forever. Everyone on this earth, ever, must acknowledge this gift.
Christians know it's their duty to support the Jewish people because they are God's chosen people, and share the gift of salvation with them as with everyone. The Jews didn't understand that Christ coming into Jerusalem on "Palm Sunday" wasn't their "King" coming to free them from Roman rule, but their King of Heaven coming to free them from sin by dying on the cross, and conquering death by rising on the third day. Many misunderstood His mission, and the Pharisees didn't try to understand because His simple truth threatened their authority and greed. We must always support Israel and the Jews, and when our nation doesn't our nation will fail, just as our nation fails when it doesn't follow Judeo-Christian values and morals as we see happening now.
NIALL FERGUSON also wrote about this on substack, and I'm getting ready to read VDH, someone I greatly admire. Thank you for your direct post. Keep sharing the truth.
Tucker is Episcopal. I never presume to know people’s religious beliefs and hearts. What you say hits wrong. It’s full of suppositions, assumptions and arrogant, know-it-all preaching. I agree with much of what you say but you say it in a way that makes me want to argue.
I don't presume to know people's religious beliefs except insofar as they go out of their way to declare them. I do believe as a matter of general knowledge that the Episcopalian denomination is a Protestant Christian denomination which presumably bases its doctrines in Scripture, which is to say, the Holy Bible. Accordingly, when an Episcopalian believer declares to another Protestant believer that, while he has read the book, he has never heard of some of the high level concepts in it, one must conclude, as Deborah has, that something was missed. Even TC admits he has missed some stuff (see the interview with John Rich). To the matter at hand, one thing TC seems to have missed is Genesis 15:18-21. I don't see how any Christian (or practising Jew for that matter, since it appears in the Jewish scriptures) can possibly miss Israel's God-sanctioned borders. Obviously non-believers would find this information meaningless, but one would think believers, even of the Episcopalian stripe, would approach the subject with due care and attention.
There is evil in the world and many are susceptible to it. I believe that the Jews are God's chosen people and I, as a Christian, stand with them and you. Dark days are fast approaching and only God can save us now.
Well said, and thank you. You were the first person that put substack on my radar, and the first independent journalist i subscribed to, because you are always right on the money. There is only so much time in my day and money in my bank account, so I pick and choose carefully. Thanks again for speaking up with what is most needed to be said.
I’d like Trump to say “You don’t have to love Israel and the Jews like i do, but if you hate them, there’s a very dark place in your soul.” And go on to denounce Jew-haters on campuses and elsewhere. Tucker with his puff piece on Russia (the Putin interview wasn’t great journalism, but who else has bothered to interview Putin?) and Candace with her new turn have made me very sad. I have traditionally found that people who single out Jews, Israel or America for criticism are the same ones who hate me. I’ll listen to the interview as long as i can…
Tucker has disgraced himself and every wonderful person he brought to the public forum. He’s done such damage to RFK Jr, Tulsi, Naomi Wolf, Desmond Mehmet,Bret Weinstein,Joe Rogan,Rosanne Barr, Vance, Trump,Elon Musk, Gutfeld, .. everybody who advocated for him, every inroad he made he betrayed. But he did unify a very toxic duality. Extreme antisemites left and right. He’s a Red/Green Alliance of Stalinism/Nazism/Islamism. He’s both sides of the Crusades. He’s Duke and Farrakhan. He and Candace Owens are the embodiment of a folies a deaux- feeding off each other. But Tucker doesn’t realize that she’s not any sort of ideologue. She has no belief or alignment. Candace is a serial opportunistic grifter . Desperate for relevance, like most signature malignant narcissists, she paints herself as the victim when she begins to fall out of favor, creates issues and scenarios that don’t exist, destroys those who acted as mentors, provokes.. and when she gains attention, exacerbates and builds on the hate. Tucker, in the other hand, is a condescending, self important jackass. A byproduct of so many who came to his rescue that he’s lost sight of reason. He was losing me with giving a platform to the Tate brothers bringing back Candace, hosting Roger Waters.. I chalked up the Waters thing to Tucker being unaware of his history. He would be far from alone. But he continued downhill. The imbecilic interview with the gay escort claiming to have many times serviced Obama and scored Coke for him were ridiculous. Whatever Obama’s predilections, I doubt that was in his repertoire- No matter how much I loathe him. The last straw was the fake Palestinian Christian Pastor spewing libelous propaganda about Israel’s mistreatment and and marginalization of Christians. That Tucker not only went there, but continues doubling down was beyond inexcusable. He’s never been to Israel and has no use for all the Christians who have and are far better friends to Israel than the leftist self loathing kapos
I happen to have listened to the Martyrmade interview by Tucker. The widespread reporting that it was promoting holocaust denial is completely false and dishonest. Your accusations about Tucker’s secret agenda to promote antisemitism seem crazy and not based on anything tangible. I won’t be able to trust your reporting and your judgement in the future unfortunately.
I subscribe to Tucker but for some reason could not make myself watch that episode. There was something about Cooper that did not sit right with me. I am a fan of Victor Davis Hanson.

Have never watched Tucker. No TV so happy to say NOT a Fox viewer, CNN etc. No clue who the guest was. What I find odd is how when millions of Christians are killed for their faith, no big deal. I do not support the abuse of any human or animal so it is very unpleasant to see what is going on in Palestine these days. Many families on both sides of that area have suffered and heartbreaking for all their loses. Seems one group matters others do not. There does not seem to be any change that will cause less stiff in this matter.
The terrorist leadership, Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis all supported by the King of terrorism, Iran) has lead the Palestinian population (and much of the western world) to believe in hatred as a way of life and see themselves as victims of Israeli aggression, educate their citizens from the day they are born to hate Israel and to kill Israelis chanting “death to Israel, death to America” as their charter in the name of Allah. The entire Gaza strip is polluted with this type of propaganda similar to what Hitler did in Nazi Germany. The Palestinians are victims, yes, of their own governing forces. If Israel put down their weapons tomorrow, they would be annihilated and pushed into the sea. If the terrorists put down their weapons tomorrow there would be PEACE in the Middle East. That says it all!
If the terrorists IDF put down their arms maybe there would be peace. If you think I am suppose to believe there is no Jewish hatred of Arabs and Palestinians well have a nice day. Israel has played its part in backing Hamas. You can push all the blame and hate elsewhere but that is not being honest.

Good article! It is weird what Tucker is doing right now though if you followed his career, he was kind of a weirdo at CNN. I'm Catholic and I feel like Catholics and Jews like each other, but for some reason I think a large number of protestants have a problem with Jews and for that matter, Catholics. Super strange because we should all be on the same side and fighting for the civilized world.
Protestants are much more likely to dig up old heresies and make them their own. The demiurge hypothesis centers around Jesus being a pure spirit… not a man at all.. and that only true believers.. really, true heretics… are going to Heaven. All of the basic conclusions of early ecumenical councils cover these matters but earnest Protestants ignore their existence and their relevance to their heavily pared-down “Christianity” which is little more than primitive faith in Christ combined with blind obedience to the local pastor.
Tucker does interview asshoes including this guy but it is important to know what they are thinking. That's important for oppo research. That's why he lets them talk instead of interrupting every 5 seconds like MSM.
For what it's worth, I am not a big fan of Churchill either but it has nothing to do with Hitler. That was his finest hour. In his 50 year political career he did many things. Let's start with what he did TO the Jews. The Jewish revolt started when he was PM because of actions by his administration. Look up why LEHI assassinated Lord Moyne, his personal friend. We can move on to my people, the Irish. And the Indians. And colonial people in general. And his provocation in the run up to WW1 without which Hitler would be forever a corporal. And the Dardenelles debacle.

I dropped Cooper on X awhile back for this… thank you for taking this on.. I love Tucker, but it’s really important to identify that the dance he is inviting his followers to is very dark and dangerous. Ha! Good point. And I think Candace Owens is Catholic.
