Kevin McCarthy is featured on the World Economic Forum web site as the majority leader of the congress. I think he is suspect as can be.

Did he not become the Majority leader as soon as the Republicans took the house? I believe the minority leader (which he was) automatically takes that title. If they’d said “Speaker of the House” that would be something.

I do not say that the title is inaccurate, only that his involvement with a group of anti-American globalists who want all Americans to be deprived of our property, enslaved, eating bugs, drinking cockroach juice, living in pods, and drugged into a semblance of "happiness" is disgusting. You may like the World Economic Forum if you wish, and deflect from the suspicious conduct of being involved in it as Kevin McCarthy and Elise Stefanik are, deeply. But it is silly of you to suggest that I was criticising the term "majority leader" on the WEF web site. I was not. Apparently you're very happy with the new speaker being an anti-American globalist? Or would that be me assuming things about your post not in evidence? If it offends you that I think of you as a WEF supporting anti-American globalist, then perhaps you should consider how you word your replies, friend. Thanks!

Lol! You think I was offended? Nah, I was just pointing out that the assertion that the WEF had some sort of inside info into his election because of their website is a stretch. But by all means, double down. I don’t like the WEF or McCarthy, but I also think those who oppose them both do themselves a great disservice by playing into the ‘conspiracy theorist’ caricature the left has created. “Apparently” you don’t recognize that there are conservatives, against globalism and the establishment, who don’t always march lockstep with those in tin-foil head-ware. Presuming that anyone who questions the very casual way in which you demand there is a global conspiracy is somehow for that conspiracy indicates a very shallow intellect. And, I’m not your friend. Keep your snark to yourself.

If McCarthy is popular with democrat cringeshaw and msnbc employees, he is a clear threat to all citizens.

Quite noticeable when the conservative, Uniparty talking heads all use the term "to protect democracy" as their justifiable reason for the 20 to capitulate. Those 20 are the ONLY ones in Congress standing up under their right in a CONTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC--albeit hanging by a thread. Yes, the Uniparty wants "democracy" because it lowers the threshold and allows a 51% majority of compromised thugs to hijack the whole country.

Well, this is just more proof that the "uniparty" issue is as real as it gets. NO one has the back of the American people. They can fight all they want and posture all they want. The 20 hold outs are making a show of it, and I hope they put their money where their mouth is, when it comes time to vote on real issues. Anyone involved in DAVOS is unAmerican, and has an agenda that does NOT support America remaining a free and prosperous Nation. Time to FIRE all the traitors.

Can you believe it: saboteurs, insurrectionists, and terrorists? Names used against those with legitimate authority/reason to not choose McCarthy. These Fox people have no clue about the WEF or, for instance, the operations of the Azov Nazi soldiers in Ukraine (trained by the Canadian military). They are lost like all those falling under the Davos spell! Lost and ignorant!

100%. He and the nest that sprang from his loins are all grifters who love America just as far as they can purloin value from we, the people, and no further. He knows how to create a cult of personality. He’s a consummate con man who let the banking monster DeutscheBank loose in the US then ripped them off for millions! His only loyalty is to himself and he’s a slave to money. And I say that as a strict Independent and FreeThinker, so please don’t accuse me of being a Democrat 🤮 or of supporting the stolen election!

That says that Trump is being ill-advises and/or using his usual poor judgment of McCarthy for some kind of short-term or long-term gain, neither of which is realistic or politically smart; Trump appears intent on alienating his base (even further) and sabotaging his chance for the GOP nomination (which is NOT a certainty!) .

In order to win the presidency, Trump needs to have the establishment onside, and McCarthy certainly represents the establishment.

Expand full comment
Tony Porcaro's avatar

Maybe true, but the "establishment" is precisely the problem and call it what it really is which is the deep state bureaucracy which colluded to destroy Trump before, during and after his presidency; sadly Trump is falling into the same trap once more and mistakenly believes he can make fundamental change once elected; that won't work because the same enemies such as McCarthy will be there and will work to destroy him and any good he will try to accomplish for America.

I've long felt like we suffered something similar to a battered wife or battered spouse syndrome. We listen to their promises, and know deep down they've no intention to keep their word. They cave. They dissimulate. They obfuscate. They say what we want to hear. Until now. This development is as exciting any time in history that a few brave souls have stood up for principle in the face of a regime that exploits its citizens and either gaslights or pacifies us.

I have a nagging anxiety that they'll cave in the end, but I also have hope that they won't, and that a big crack in the dyke will be had. This is a crystal moment in the course of our country's trajectory.

And I pray.

Trump, COVID, and this debacle, combined over the last 6+ years, have pulled the mask off of many (MSM, Pharma, Big Tech, FBI, USIC, Uni-party, globalists, higher education, etc. etc.) to show us who they really are. Don’t take my word for it, they’re (literally) telling us who they are. When’s enough enough?
