Prior to 1948, the word Palestinian meant the Jews who lived there. The Arabs were called Arabs. In 1948, the Jews became Israelis, leaving the term Palestinian unoccupied. It remained such until 1966 when it was appropriated by Arafat. Gaza which was part of the British mandatory territory of Palestine is a product of the 1948 ceasefire line and was administered by Egypt until 1967.

This Waqf remains as long as earth and heaven remain. Any procedure in contradiction to Islamic Sharia, where Palestine is concerned, is null and void."
