I agree. This is nothing more than the Obama doctrine with an older, whiter face on it. When we mess around in the politics of sovereign nations and complain that Russia and China meddle in our elections, it sounds hypocritical.

Obama favored Iran, and it was obvious, now, strangely enough, China has recently brought the Iranians into the fold. I suspect there is much more here than we realize. A strange combination of Iran Obama and China Biden.

This is about money. And oil - but mainly money. KSA was told by Trump to reform and allow domestic oil production while maintaining their alignment w/ Israel. In return, Trump would permit MBS to consolidate power interally and look the other way in the Houthi/Yemeni debacle (This was bolstered by the attempt & later saving of the life of MBS in LV the night of the "paddock" shooting). This served Trump's coalition of Orthodox Jews, Israel and fly over country workers who fracked. So far, so good. That is not the (D) coalition (except for the Israel part). The (D) party demands pay to play (which Trump ended), and it is clear to be the Obamas (who are cleaning out the last vestiges of the Clintons/opposition to Kamala in '24 to run the party - sorry Andrew Cuomo, but it's time to go!) are going to apply pressure to the KSA to go back to the pre-2017 "normal" - high oil prices are going to leave you flush with dollars, we (the Dems) want a portion of those dollars back. MBS and the KSA can either pay or have "democracy" forced upon it. Jordan noting MBS' "successes" are notable, but those are essentially Trumpian. The Obamas/Deep State have other priorities (that are not necessarily in line down the road), but are aligned for now - back to the pre-2017 status quo.

I had to read this twice to realize that I agree with you on this. You articulated it much better than I could have.

Thanks pal. I forgot to mention in that quid pro quo arrangement, if the KSA gets high oil prices to shovel dollars back to the Obama party, the admin/party will use environmental regs and stupidity to keep Americans poorer (e.g., shutting down Keystone, ending fracking).

No doubt in my mind. Interesting that Biden’s unemployment numbers may even surpass the Obummer years. He is off to a blazing start.

The Saudis should cut their own deal with Israel and freeze out Biden from any involvement in the Middle East

Don't forget, these are the people that spend money on transgender education in Pakistan.

Before I spent a year embedded with Arabs, I read "The Arab Mind" by Raphael Patai. There are several others... but at least I tried to understand who I was working with. Biden's team is too smart for that....

Taqiyya much?

Who will ever hear about this? The total and unanimous vilification of Trump in the European mainstream press is more one sided and vicious than even reporting about Stalin in the Cold War and the like of the adulation of Obama had not been seen even in East Germany since Ulbricht's abdication.

I'm torn here because I wish only the worst for the Saudi's after 9/11.

But I doubt that this new Biden policy is good for America..

I year ago, after reading Robert Gates' comments on Joe Biden, I put out a meme of Biden as Captain Peter "Wrongway" Peachfuzz. Nothing has changed since.
