Want to stop this insanity? Just stop going to college. The people running these insane asylums are getting paid big bucks BY YOU to treat you this way. Screw them! I know many of you want to get an education but it might have to wait a year or so till we get this figured out. Two other things: 1 Vote Trump and Republican, the Dems love this draconian crap. 2 If you vote Democrat plan on living like this for the rest of your life. This next election is about whether or not America is going to go full socialist or stay a free nation.

My recommendation: get out of college, go home, get a job, and educate yourself on the freedoms that our founders wanted you to have. When you study go to conservative websites and look for the truth, its out there and it will open your eyes to the indoctrination that your colleges have been forcing on you.

If they stop going to college and boycott the over-priced [lack of wisdom] education they are about to receive, then they won't get that John Hopkins sheepskin to hang on their UPS truck.

As i was reading all of this, I was similarly thinking: how many of your peers are out ther protesting for socialist policy? How many of your classes and professors have taught you about the equalization of socialism. Sadly, you are now living what are often the results of socialistic policy. Paying highly for something that does not allow for your input or your individual rights. You have given them your money in exchange for an educational experience, but in the name of betterment for all, that experience is not allowed. At the end of the day, nothing is equalized, you are now all under the control of the ruling party.

I agree but many of these parents and kids are caught in a "catch 22" because of the abrupt change in our world today. The need for college is changing but parents are stuck thinking they really need to send their kids too college to be successful in life. I can remember how fun it was and part of the best part of my life where I grew up and matured. Good memories good friends.

Expand full comment

There really isn't a catch 22 here, you may have had a good time back in the day but that was a different world than what we are living in. These kids are being indoctrinated with leftist theology at 90% or more of American colleges. If you send your kid to college you can be assured of a few things: a minimal and watered education, indoctrination into leftist theology, and a huge debt they'll have to pay off. Unless Biden gets elected, then they'll cancel all college debt and make us taxpayers pay for it. Bernie has been pushing that for years.

If you doubt some of thd things I'm saying then do some research. Go to a web site called townhall and read some of Mike Adam's columns. Mike is gone now but fought thd liberal establishment at the university in North Carolina for years. His columns are filled with what your child will experience. Read up on Harvard's "sex week". Think you want your child going to college to learn about dildos, anal sex and transgenders? Trust me, its far worse than you know. No kid should be sent to these colleges by anyone. They should be allowed to financially starve until massive changes are made.

Yup, most people still haven't caught on to the fact that the world that they knew is gone forever. Socialism has failed, and leftist theology is most dangerously rabid in its death throes. The next several years are gonna be an "interesting" ride.

Every single one of your parents deserve this. Until there’s is a massive rejection of communist indoctrination by our former colleges and universities this stuff is the consequence. No critical thinking is taught or allowed. Take your damned kids out of these brainwashing re-education camps.

All the teen and college age kids I know who have gotten covid were just sick for a few days like the flu. Why are kids being treated like they are 80 years old? They need to get it and be immune. My college kid has hearing loss and masks are a nightmare for her bc she can’t read lips. She’s a senior and just wants to be done.

We've known absolutely no teen who's had "covid," but have known of one teen who was murdered, one teen who attempted suicide, one child who committed suicide, and one adult who committed suicide during the lockdown, all lockdown related. How many more must die because of the RESPONSE TO a supposed "virus"?

Here it is a year later and now we know the Emergency Use PCR test is useless. It can't distinguish between coronaviruses like covid and the cold or the influenzas! The PCR test was never supposed to be used as a diagnostic tool. It can't do that.

Thanks for sharing these stories. I really understand that hardship that my students face now. Students need social interaction, parties, and fun in their lives. The restrictions are causing lots of mental health problems.

I am a business faculty member in the University of Colorado system. The classroom capacity has been so restricted that I am forced to teach online via Zoom. If you think that Zoom classes are bad, just experience a hybrid class taught with most students online and a few students in the classroom (45 online and 10 in the classroom). The online students cannot hear questions from the classroom students. The instructor must wear a mask with a microphone inside and stay glued to the podium.

I teach a large lecture/lab class. The lecture classes are online but the lab sections are in a classroom with lab instructors. Most students do not come to the lab classes however. Entering the building requires a health check and other invasive details.

You may (or may not) be interested in this research paper in the NCBI database entitled "Small molecules targeting severe acute respiratory syndrome human coronavirus" -- this is research released in 2004 on the SARS-CoV-1 virus and the 50 treatment options they found.

One of those treatment options had further medical research released in 2014 and they called that treatment option the "antiviral equivalent of penicillin."

This whole lockdown garbage appears to be an engineered farce. When in history has anyone who was NOT sick ever been quarantined -- prior to now?

When will people understand: everyone will get this virus just like the flu. Mask or no mask. Vaccine or no vaccine. Face up to that. I have had it. You will get it. PERIOD. These college students, and some professors, are doing all of us a huge favor. They are spreading it quickly, experiencing weaker symptoms, and surviving it. All while being treated like diseased cattle. I’m so proud of them for having the courage and strength to endure these unnatural mandates, to be unfairly targeted by the cops and townies, to be exposed to subpar classes and to face strange pressures within their peer groups to conform or be publicly shame. Give them some credit for God’s sake and leave them alone. Besides, flu season is next!

Unfortunately, timing was not on that guy’s side as the medical field did not realize the damage ventilators did to patients with Covid when he was treated. At least more studies show that the longterm impact on lungs (without previous ventilator assistance) is 3 months or less and manageable. Bottomline: this man is surviving and progressing, but given the upcoming flu and pneumonia season, he may want to quarantine. In fact, we all better take responsibility for our own health and expect the inevitable-get ready to get sick. For those of us who are most at-risk...we can’t expect the young and healthy to not proceed with life and remain fearful: that’s selfish and irresponsible of us, plus Covid will still spread. Even those who quarantined eventually got it. That’s our reality-no matter where you go, what you do, or who you are with, Covid is near you.

Why wear a mask? In the service (us army) I ran my own NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) office, these masks will not stop or even slow this virus. The virus will go right through the mask. Next thing to ponder, this virus is airborne. The media has this so wrong. People are coming forward with the truth. Doctors are saying if a patient dies they are to write it up as covid. There are people that don't even get tested yet get a letter saying they are positive. I'm not saying this is not a bad bug at 3% death rate seriously, marburg and Ebola are deadlier around 80 to 90%

I teach at a small regional university in the northeast. Originally the plan was to have students back on campus, but with no classes larger than 25. Everyone who lives within a 25 mile radius would be required to live off campus, and all faculty would have the option to teach via zoom.

At a town hall with the Provost, we were told about the importance of social distancing in the classroom. I asked, "if a student sitting in the middle of the room needs to use the restroom, can they just get up and leave, or do I need to evacuate the room one student at a time until they have a clear path to the door that won't bring them within six feet of anyone?" They said they would get back to me.

In late July they decided to go 95% online. Only junior and senior lab/research courses would be on campus. The campus itself is dead. First year enrollment is down 20%, and I suspect many of those remaining will leave if the campus remains closed in the spring.

At a university where I used to teach, things are even more dystopian. All faculty and students are required to get tested every 10 days. If you test positive, it's 14 days in hotel jail for you.

I've seen people compare this to house arrest. It's worse - at least with house arrest, you can go to work and have friends over, and there is a clear end date.

Oh, I forgot to add the best part. My university was going to require students to sanitize their seats and work spaces... at the beginning of each class! So they would have to clean up potentially infectious material from other students. I don't believe the virus represents a significant threat to me or my students, but I was planning on reporting them to OSHA if they had gone through with that bit of idiocy.

I was so lucky! I graduated from a terrific University in Florida, went to an Ivy league University in NYC. During my last year I began to notice a bunch of temperamental, know nothing, aggressive student body association take control of my department's syllabus and curriculum. I recall this group of idiots, really like a communist committee, taking up valuable class time to poll students on what changes they wanted to the curriculum. Questions and meetings went on for months. When I asked the Gay student body president why they had taken six months of meetings to only change a comma in the entire clinical psychology syllabus, he snapped back at me: "Over there, over there, OVER THERE, go over there." I was dumbfounded! I wanted to grab him and kick his ass, but I brushed it off. What I was witnessing was the beginning of a nationwide pattern to dumb down and politicize the Universities. For 20 or so years, I ran my own business without ever encountering students or professors. For personal reasons, in 2009 I moved to a University town. What I witnessed and continue to witness is an indescribable disappointment! In this town, full of graduate, undergraduate students and professors I thought I could at least have an intelligent conversation with someone. Before I go on, I would like to point out there is a great contradiction here. Some of the Departments are OUTSTANDING, WORLD CLASS. There is no doubt about that! But mostly I have noticed the following 1. Many professors, even the outstanding professors, have some sort of ego related issue. Most are divorced, have broken families and severe interpersonal issues. 2. Many Ph.D. candidates do not fully master the scope of their subject matter, e.g., Ph.D. Philosophy candidates who haven't read Heidegger or Nietzsche's writings. They have no idea what Chinese philosophy is all about. They never read Marx, they are not familiar with the Frankfort School. They have no idea what the Russian Revolution was all about. 3. Clinical Psychology graduates who have never read Harry Stack Sullivan, don't know who Corydon Hammond is. They have no idea of the difference between psychoanalysis and neuroscience. 4. A graduate student in biology, no less, (perhaps he was lying) telling me that cancer is not caused by viruses. 5. Many of the professors are scammers, somehow they managed to gain a position in the University. One claimed to be an expert in environmental safety. That he had published many books. Books I can't find anywhere. Many of the professors are "fake" e.g., one claims to be an expert on the "affairs" of a certain communist country. Really? He travels to this country, so he says, to lecture. All expenses paid by the University. This man loves going to this communist country, a so called professor, yet he barely speaks English. It would be funny if it weren't true. I can go on, this is a simply a taste of the disappointment I suffered during my talks with these "academicians." This is, also, the tip of the iceberg. I'm not even mentioning the Football team which runs the economy of the entire town. The coach's outrageous salaries. What University coach could possibly be worth $50 Million Dollars a year with free home and all expenses paid. From 2004 to the present, what I have really learned is simply not to talk to these people. There are still some Universities I would recommend, however, what good is a degree if you can't teach, can't share your knowledge with others, or find a job in your field. E.g., some of these student dreamers pay hundreds of thousands to study acting, literature, art, history, liberal studies, political science, journalism, social studies and even law, yet they cannot weld a piece of steel, cut a piece of wood, nail sheetrock to a wall, fix a faucet, etc. The word man, comes from Manos, which means being able to do things with your hands. That is what a man and a woMan are. They are able to build. Unfortunately, the university system has become a communist breeding ground and if it continues, even M.D.s, Engineers, Architects (btw, Brutalism is considered communist architecture), Physicists, Chemists, or professionals in the hard sciences will graduate with a Marxist mind set. This is particularly common in Cuba where every Ph.D. dissertation has to have included in it, a Marxist, materialistic point of view. Furthermore, many of the best and brightest are being lost to this Marxist ideology. Rioting, looting, committing acts of insurrection and terrorism. We are losing an entire generation while the children of the rich learn how to make money and survive. In ten, twenty years, these idiots who are now rioting will be either homeless or servants to the one's who decided to study a profitable career. Many of these dummies will have criminal records thus will not be able to find work and will really know what discrimination is all about. This is somewhat reminiscent of the 60's when we lost an entire generation to protests and drugs. These Flower Children, or hippies, gave us our beloved millennials. Just wonder what creatures this generation of Marxists are going to produce. (sorry for the one long paragraph and bad grammar but I wrote this in 10 minutes.)

Thanks for your comments, I agree with much of what your saying, colleges in America are an absolute disaster and our public school system is just as bad. The flower children and hippies of the sixties are actually the ones running the Democrat party right now, they are also trying to burn America to the ground pushing socialism into every facet of life.

The study linked below is a total game changer regarding lockdowns, and yet I have not heard it reported anywhere in the media.

The study was published in The Lancet, one of the world’s leading medical journals, and it’s a very detailed analysis of how various factors have affected the Chinese virus pandemic. One of the many factors they examined was government lockdowns, and their very definitive conclusion, as stated in section 3.4 of the study, is, “government actions such as border closures, full lockdowns, and a high rate of Covid-19 testing were not associated with statistically significant reductions in the number of critical cases or overall mortality.” In other words, lockdowns don’t decrease deaths!

Please share this info with as many people as possible, because the media has not said a word about it, despite the fact that the study was published way back on July 21st.
