Well, some of them realize they are in it for other reasons. Such as running with the "elite" and making lucrative contacts. WEF annual meeting at Davos is the place to be seen, don'tcha know. For now. In a year or two, it could be "so yesterday", as they move on to the next get-ahead fashion.

Exactly my thoughts. They just don’t see their own ridiculousness. They firmly believe they are, in fact, saving humanity and the planet.
