You are one of the few writers who cogently slays sacred cows in multiple fields. Well played sir.

Two Thumbs up Jordan!

Jamal Khashoggi was to the climate change/anti-fossil fuel activists and Middle East disruptors/extremists...what saint George Floyd is to the race baiters and just about every leftist agenda item, in America.

The left always crowns it's saints and saviors, with little/no honesty or transparency. All that's needed is an event (preferably filmed, for re-broadcast every 5 minutes) and then a false narrative. After that, all the groups gathered under the leftist umbrella of influence and benefit, will take up the call and solidify the saintly "victim" into the societal cannon, never to be removed or maligned.

Jordan, thanks for this article. I was unaware of this until now and I very much appreciate your writing.

Well said, Sir. And spot on.

Yes, Washington Post was providing cover, press credentials, and access for a Jihadist.

Thank you, Mr. Bezos.

Some of this came out at the time of his death, and was quickly suppressed. Thanks for the full course.

I didn't see anything in your quotes about the circumstances of his death. Was he not murdered? Was MBS not involved?

Interesting article, but yes it seems like a pretty important issue if MBS had a guy secretly murdered, cut into pieces and disposed of inside an embassy, no matter how bad that person was.

True, it would have been much better to drone-strike the guy, even if there was collateral damage.

Maybe MBS was sending a message.

Oh spare us! The Saudi’s have spent the last 5 years turning Yemen into a parking lot under the auspices of “ridding the country of extremists” and no one bats an eye. But the second they kill and dismember an extremist inside their own embassy everyone starts clutching their pearls. Pretty clear that a lot of folks on this thread missed the entire point of Jordan’s article.

The point of Jordan's article wasn't defending MBS, as a great modernizing monarch?

norstadt's avatar

So he would have to rendition his enemies to be truly modern?

Great job keeping us up to date. I’m leaning less and less towards an organized and effective “New World Order” being responsible for all this BS in the West ( although that is certainly being tried) and more and more towards confusion, stupidity, incompetence, and corruption as being the cause.

Defending the Saudi Royal family is a lost cause in my book. AS for being "pro western," so is Ukraine, allegedly, whatever that means.

This piece is reminiscent of joint US-Saudi propaganda. Don't the Saudis still publicly behead women for adultery? Doesn't the House of Saud rule by absolute monarchy? If MBS were really that modern and liberal, he could do a lot to end the suffering of women, yet he doesn't. Also, are you trying to justify extrajudicial killings and dismemberments of people for crimes in general, if indeed Khashoggi is guilty of what you allege? If so, then, you have quite a lot in common with MBS. It's no surprise you're defending him.

I actually had no idea about Khashoggi's real background, and I make a solid effort to keep abreast of at least the "need-to-know" elements of the media's various government-supplied bullshit narratives. Thanks for this.
