Bombing countries to distract from domestic failures is a classic play for incompetent tyrants.

Exactly but the intent is probably to deflect from the covid vaccine failure that MSM can't ignore forever. So now Ukraine can be the new crisis major news story while there is slow back pedaling from the the worst public health policies in history not to mention outright crimes.

The liklihood of Russia invading Ukraine is close to zero. The Russian economy would suffer greatly due to sanctions and that would impact Putin's grip on power. The guy isn't an idiot. Russian troops amassing on the Russian border with Ukraine can be viewed as a defensive measure or show of force. The US and allies could put sanctions in place now instead of rattling a sword but sanctions wouldn't achieve what the strategic goal is. I don't think that goal has anything to do with Ukraine.

It's a rally around war and how many repubs wanted to be painted as pro Russian? It's the perfect deflection from the shit storm that would come when the MSM lie machine can't hold back the truth about the covid crimes.

Is it a dangerous thing to do? For sure. It can escalate to some very serious stuff but what choice do the criminals have? It's either some dangerous deflection or the very serious risk of losing their grip on power and facing justice.

But why would Russia be pro vaccine and pro qr codes but not be invited into the global system? I'm confused because we get this anti communist shit but in Moscow it was the communist party in the duma who was against the vaccine passes

Putin is likely doing it for his own reasons which are similar to the reasons in other countries......control. That doesn't mean that he would be allied with countries that are doing the same thing and telking the same lies.

I think that is what Biden's half-baked strategy team is probably counting on...I think they will end up disappointed

The Biden Administration is faced with a last chance, do or die moment. They have failed to look competant in anything. They are banking on this distraction to resurrect the most failed administration in a very, very long time. I can’t see it working out for these hapless fools.

You, sir, are entirely correct. Not only have they failed to look competent but they lack competency as well. It will definitely not work out. The thing that amazes me is how many war mongers on both sides in Congress actually are calling for this and believe that this is actaully a viable plan. We have truly become an insane nation.

Starting WW3 and declaring martial law is one way to stay in power for 2023.

Why is the US, EU and NATO pushing Russia in to War ???

Hint: it has NOTHING to do with Ukraine !!! Our Western Banking system is about to collapse, and those who have caused it, need a MAJOR distraction to cover up the economic destruction.

Also the CIA (deep state) is signaling that there will be a Cyber Attack (on our Banking System) . I strongly believe that this false flag attack, will come from the CIA, and they will blame it on Russia. This is why a HOT war is necessary.

I pray that I am WRONG. But ALL signs are pointing toward this.

This new Biden aggression over Ukraine reminds me of that scandal of back before the election, in which Biden was accused and I think threatened with prosecution by the Ukrainian govt of bribing officials.

Is this new move a result of some blackmail that government has over him?

Also you have to wonder who is at the steering wheel when Russia itself is fully onboard with the vaccine bullshit, including qr codes

Woodrow Wilson redux.

I suspect these are the same C-list Biden administration geniuses who thought that a vaccine mandate would restore his popularity with Americans. Now they think a military cause will wag the dog and restore the respect for Biden. At the risk of nuclear war.

I think Biden will "pull it out" under a pre-arranged deal and come out with his first diplomatic "win". The question is... what is Russia getting out of this deal? And China as well? Is this a pretense for us to be "focused on Ukraine" while China gets Taiwan?

Sadly I think most here think that the US military can successfully deploy and intervene in Russia’s front yard. I am a veteran who studies war and I say not bloody likely. It’s the making of a military catastrophe. I don’t think the White House has anyone who has served. Ideology does not usually produce good strategic thinking, in military terms.

I genuinely do not believe America engages in wars to "win".

They engage in wars to enrich munitions manufacturers.

Ike tried to warn us.

And that part is already going extremely well! Whole warehouses of armaments across NATO are empties and shipped over to Ukraine, and they just now beg to be replenished courtesy of US tax payer.

So anyone still think the Democrats are the party of peace and unity?

Remember, the Clown Prince, that Nobel Peace Prize recipient, had the very rare presidential distinction of being at war every day of his two terms.

Now there’s hell in the Middle East and the Military Industrial Complex wants to get rich some more at the cost of the lives of our sons and daughters.

For all his flaws, Donald Trump ended wars, he didn’t start them.

You few remaining honest Democrats who actually subscribe to the principles you mouth should revolt against this. Is it possible to believe that war over Ukraine would be conducted any better than the withdrawal from Afghanistan was? It will be a huge fiasco at the cost of trillions of dollars and untold loss of life. And for what?

Questions about the origins of Sars-CoV-2 were suppressed until they were bulging at the seams because of the potential implications (must keep peace with China!), and yet we're willing to go to war over a country in which Vladimir Putin might just be an upgrade? Heavy-handed interference in this matter isn't going to help the Ukrainian people any more than heavy-handed interference with a highly contagious respiratory virus has improved the lives of the American people.

Answer: Yes but not really.

Explanation: Russia can control up to the river without invading. The area is hugely ethnic Russian. Why invade when your army is already there? Just arm them and provide "technical assistance" (ahem Chechnyans).

At the end of the day the USA would face the same choice as the UK did with Hong Kong. Go nuclear or go home. The USA will make the same choice.

I do hope the Ukranians don't trust in the USA coming through for them when the chips are down cause it just ain't happening.

Russia is only a "threat" to those peoples and lands that were historically part of their nation. And their "threat" is to welcome them back into mama bear's arms. Let them. None of our business. Really, only mush-headed progressives who have been willingly brainwashed for the last five years are worried about Russia. Unless, of course, those same progressives start a hot war with Russia for political reasons. Then, yes, we should be worried because their military isn't "woke," and will immediately proceed to kick @ss. Just ask Georgia about that.

So true - after all the bullshit social experiments they've been putting our military through, I have no confidence if we have to face a serious enemy.
