Hot air about hot air. Perhaps they should visit the homeless shelter 10 blocks south of the UN that is now overrun with migrants. A person who moves from the third world to the first world increases their carbon footprint 3x! https://nypost.com/2022/09/17/nyc-largest-men-shelter-on-the-brink-as-migrants-flood-in/?utm_campaign=iphone_nyp&utm_source=pasteboard_app

The thing is, the biosphere is a mess, and we do need to be inspired to take better care of the earth. But if you think Blackrock and Bezos and Gore care about making the world a better place for anyone other than themselves, I've got a bridge to Pluto for sale.

How much? Its not even a planet anymore, I want a discount. /s

I agree. There are all kinds of pressing environmental issues (plastic pollution for sure), but these tyrants are trying to capitalize on it.

Expand full comment

Not just capitalize, they want it all, and to radically downsize humanity.

Convenience kills. Over and over. Here's a grocery store, instead of the farmer. Here's a card, you don't have to go to the bank. Here's a school, you don't have to teach your kids. Here's a vaccine, you don't have to experience sickness. (sic). Here's an undertaker, you don't have to prepare the body for burial.

We have given away almost everything now, and time to take back as much as we can for our own.

I've really been enjoying replacing "elites" with "apex parasites."

It really sums up their socioecological niche.

Expand full comment

I must remember "apex parasites" - may I borrow it from time to time? It fits so many of them so well!

Expand full comment

Oh, absolutely, such terminology deserves to be used widely.

I yoinked it from another substack comment somewhere with a response that I planned to use it myself as it was so fitting.

These people have long been identified as kleptocratic psychopaths. The World Economic Forum, their partners are all to be rejected out of hand. What most people don't realize is that all the bad apple world leaders (Biden, Xi, Trudeau, Macron, Liz Truss, among them) are partners. The Corporatocracy they have formed is Fascistic alliance of government, corporations, institutions. Check out the partners list at their website. There really is nothing new under the sun here. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The peaceful slavery they promote is just that - slavery.

And for some bizarre reason the radical Left loves them. I guess it’s their policies and fascism. But don’t you dare dump illegal aliens in their playground.....

I find it interesting that a decade ago, your comment here would have probably come from a left leaning forum. Yet here we are on a right (I think?) leaning forum. We’re truly living in the Upside Down World. Left is Right, Dems are Reps, Freedom is Slavery.

Politics to me is NEITHER right nor left it a politics of necessity. THIS POLITICS OF NECESSITY guides all toward forming the question of what we as a people do want.

Once these are answers and exist, we identify and promote what we want, We come to choose leaders who are fully capable of carrying out our wishes. We identify leaders who can achieve these and elect them.

Yes this is Alice In Wonderlad territory, with an abundance of deeply distorted space, misapprehensions regarding these topysy-turvy experiences This is why Why time spending time in nature is mandatory. Clear our heads. Keep your heads as Alice said.

How much money have these same ghouls wasted on imitation meat? Impossible Foods stock price is down 93% since its IPO in 2019, in spite of a massive marketing campaign and every financial news outfit crowing about the HUGE SUCCESS of the stock and product. Not so much. People didn't swallow the fake meat thing, they're also not going to bite down on the fake climate nonsense.

The fake meat is sitting on the shelf of my local grocery store for 1/2 price because no one wants it..... in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Not to mention a recent analysis of the Impossible meat showed glyphosate in it. How nice is that?! And it's supposed to be so much healthier. How about a carcinogen with that burger? Thank you, Monsanto.

Feck these elitist c’nts. Their money could wipe out poverty, starvation, homelessness. But they only care about money, power, and control.

Here's an example that I learned about recently of how our future is being built:

https://www.neom.com/en-us/regions/theline

A bit of propaganda at it's finest. This is some kind of a city being built(?) with the heavy backing of MBS (Saudi prince). First thing that struck me was that even though this is being built in the Arab world, a woman in western dress is in the promotional video. This structure, less than 200 square kilometers, is supposed to be home to 1,000,000 people, probably more. The city I live in in Canada is at my estimate about 1,000 square kilometers (and I think I'm lowballing) and is home to about 500,000.

No thank you. This is all too reminiscent of too many sci fi movies.

No railings (except for the low glass tripping hazards). Maybe everyone can really fly there! Speaking of flies...insects will be a major problem too. The landscaping looks fantastic. Unfortunately, it’s impossible with the lighting/placement issues.

“Younger generations are demanding a sense of purpose. They want to look at a company and say, ‘I am investing with you all for this reason,’”

The irony that they have no clue what the younger generations are actually demanding. Here in Germany, many young people entering the work life are fed up with the cantillionaires and the green/woke agenda. They don‘t want to identify with a company, they want a fair paycheck.
