Republicans need to get a clue card. Stop reacting to everything the media says. Stop reporting on it. Ignore it. Move on..

liberals damn sure wouldn’t care. They’d move on and never stop. Media is part of the problem.

After reading or watching news. I ask myself.. is this information, or is it information splashed with partisanship meant to divide?

To me it looked like every FOIAed government conversation I've ever read. Obviously whoever is responsible for actually adding JG should be reprimanded, but it's hilarious to hear the media yapping about how evading FOIA is a huge deal when they were silent about Fauci and the GoF crew doing it a few years ago.

The “irony” of an extremely far left journalist’s phone number being added is very suspect even if he has the same initials as “somebody”. It doesn’t make sense that Goldberg’s number from a rag mag like the Atlantic would be on any of these people’s list. Should the subordinate who input it be reprimanded or I suspect fired for leaking?

I want to see Goldberg arrested. surely what he did is some kind of a crime. I’m sick of that piece of shit. Liar at the Atlantic. The Atlantic is nothing but a load of lying pieces of shit.

That's my thought too. It's one thing to say you were involved in the chat, another to release the contents. Almost treasonous.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if the FBI raided the Atlantics offices and took the all those motherfuckers down for leaking all these years? I would love to see that and so would Dan Bongino.

You know why he had to release the chat, right? Because the entire White House and the Cabinet officials involved were lying through their teeth.

It certainly feels that way. It appears there isn’t a man or a woman with a soul working for the Democratic machine.

The substance was a nothing burger but who put the number in the chat. Based on prior experience, a mole hunt is needed.

In 2021 in Afghanistan, a terrorist exploded a suicide vest at the Kabul airport, killing 13 marines. In retaliation, the US launched an "over-the-horizon" drone attack targeted at ISIS terrorists. Lloyd Austin and Mark Milley, the Biden administration's "brain trust" for the Afghan withdrawal announced a successful mission and a "righteous kill". Unfortunately, it was discovered - and covered up for three weeks - that ISIS terrorists weren't the ones killed in the attack. It was 10 civilians, including 7 children. No one in the Biden Administration was held accountable for this "stunning" act of murder of foreign citizens on their own soil.

My question - how many innocents were killed by inviting an unscrupulous journalist into a group chat? Oh, right - NONE!

As usual with Democrats, mistakes resulting in the murder of 10 innocent foreign citizens is perfectly fine when they do it. But G-d help you for sending out the wrong phone number.

Mostly agree, although it's important to realize there was no logical reason for Goldberg to admit he was wrongly added to the group and volunteer to be removed. He was added to the group, however erroneously, and he gets a free scoop. Any journalist would have done the same thing ... why would you leave a free scoop on the table?

The problem here is not anything Goldberg did. It's the nincompoop that added him to the group. That person should be fired posthaste.

I would certainly lurk in the chat and then publish the story after the information couldn't do any harm to the servicemembers.

Like....I remember James O'Keefe having access to CNN's morning call for months and months.....he finally "spoke up" once they realized what was going on.

What if he was added on purpose?

He wasn't even on Mike Waltz' signal contacts until right before he was added to the group chat.

That's an amazing coincidence on top of him being "accidentally" added instead of someone with matching initials.

Occam's Razor might mean that we should not presume this was accidental.

If it was deliberate then we need to explore who added him and why.

I’m not familiar with journalistic ethics, if there are such things. I agree with others here who said that most would run with this. I wonder, though, why anyone working in Trump’s national security apparatus would readily have Goldberg’s number on a device. Is he someone they use? Is this unidentified character a leaker? Waltz and the mystery person should do the right thing and resign. Also, security folks should be aware of who is on each chat before they participate. Maybe initials and nicknames are insufficient identifiers. Also, let’s stop using emojis.

Thankfully it was a success! It reminds me of the fall of Cecil Rhodes who facilitated the failed Jameson Raids in South Africa in 1895/96. In his case, he secretly informed one of his insiders at the London Times that the raid was going to happen, in detail, so they could break the story first and garner public support for war against the Boers. It didn't pan out that way and turned into a debacle that soon enough spawned the Second Boer war and eventually WW1 decades later. This mistake will fade away into the background noise soon enough.

I don't care if it was classified or not; somebody originated content and addressees

and today Waltz took responsibility and his excuse was pathetic

The Atlantic rag should never have been one of the addressees

I suppose it would be acceptable in the minds of those who have never held, but those of us who have, find it UNacceptable

Waltz's inability to focus in this instance leads me to wonder what his other focus is

when it comes to his role as national security adviser

IF Waltz had an ounce of integrity and honor, he would step down

By allowing him to skate, Trump has set a poor example. . .

🤔we arrived at the same conclusion but i did not know Goldberg sat on the info and for how long before he published it. It doesnt make sense to me either ( even if he had the same initials), why his # was connected to a high security groups #. I mean it beggers belief.....the Atlantic!! That coincidence seems to good to be true.....?
