I thought he said "hope" vs "hoped" - no change to the fact that he admitted problems with the safety profile, but my impression was that he was contrasting it to what they hope to achieve with whatever technology changes come with the new acquisition.

What Pfizer and others are doing with these "very powerful" gene therapies is an ethics problem of monumental proportion that needs to be wrestled with at the medical ethics level and the Church/Spiritual level. The people of the world should be at least honestly informed. These Pharma companies, to all but the ignorant, have proven to be not trustworthy at all. It's interesting to me that many of the same folks embracing these "vaccines" are anti GMO but pro being a Genetically Modified Organism themselves. The irony of the uninformed and hypnotized.

I think he was trying to say current "zoster" vaccine, which is made by his competitor, GSK. Their shot has 90% market share in the US.
